Senior Chinese officials thank Japan, including Hyogo, for the support
toward restoration after the Sichuan Earthquake (Beijing and Changsha)
Early September, Mr. Li Yuanchao, a member of the Central Politburo of
the Communist Party of China (CPC) showed his appreciation for the support
of Japan, including Hyogo, after the Sichuan Earthquake in 2008 to a
delegation of young Japanese leaders during their visit to Beijing. Mr.
Zhou Qiang, the Hunan CPC Party Secretary also extended words of gratitude
on the same matter at the delegation's visit to Changsha, Hunan Province.
Making use of the past experience of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake,
Hyogo has dispatched its experience-based know-how and supported people in
China toward their restoration after the earthquake. This has helped
enhance the promotion of exchange between Japan and China.

９月初旬、北京を訪問中の日本中堅幹部訪中団に対し、中国共産党中央政治局の
李源潮委員より、先の四川省大地震に対する日本側（兵庫県を含む）支援に対して
感謝の意が示されました。また、湖南省長沙市訪問の際にも周強湖南省党書記から
も同様の謝意が述べられました。阪神淡路大震災を経験した兵庫の経験・ノウハウ
の発信と復興支援が日中交流の推進にも大きく役立っています。
